What services does Gentle Path ABA provide?
Gentle Path ABA provides individualized, BCBA-led behavioral support based on each child and family's unique needs. Services may include parent and caregiver training, behavior consultation, assessments, skill development, support for challenging behaviors, toileting, routines, independence, and other individualized goals.
Do you accept insurance?
We currently do not accept insurance but may in the future.
Do you have a waitlist?
We are currently accepting private-pay clients with no waitlist. Availability may change as our caseload grows, so we encourage families interested in services to reach out.
Do I need an autism diagnosis to receive services?
Not necessarily. Private-pay consultation and behavioral support may be available for families seeking help with specific behavioral or skill-development concerns without using insurance. We can discuss your family's needs during an initial consultation to determine whether our services are appropriate.
How much do services cost?
Private-pay pricing varies depending on the type and length of service. We strive to offer flexible options for families, including individual consultations and ongoing support. Contact us for current pricing and to discuss which option may best fit your needs.
What happens during the first consultation?
The initial consultation is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, your child's strengths and needs, current challenges, and your family's goals. We will discuss potential recommendations and determine whether Gentle Path ABA is a good fit for your family.
Will I work directly with a BCBA?
Yes. Gentle Path ABA is a BCBA-owned practice, and private-pay services are provided directly by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This allows families to receive individualized support directly from an experienced clinician.
Where are services provided?
Services may be provided in the home, community, or through telehealth when appropriate. The setting will depend on your family's needs, location, and the type of service being provided.
Do you provide parent training without ongoing ABA therapy?
Yes. Families may receive parent and caregiver consultation without committing to a comprehensive ABA program. This can be helpful for families looking for strategies to address a specific concern, build new skills, or improve routines at home.
What types of concerns can you help with?
Support is individualized and may address challenging behavior, tantrums, transitions, daily routines, toileting, communication-related behaviors, independence, self-help skills, social skills, school-related concerns, and other behavioral or developmental goals.
How long will my child need services?
There is no predetermined length of treatment. Some families may only need short-term consultation for a specific concern, while others may benefit from ongoing support. Recommendations are individualized and reviewed as progress is made.
Can you work with my child's school or other providers?
With parent/guardian consent, collaboration with teachers, schools, therapists, physicians, and other members of your child's care team may be available when appropriate.
Can we start with you while we wait for Insurance to kick in at another company?
Absolutely! Families are welcome to receive private-pay services with Gentle Path ABA while waiting for insurance authorization, credentialing, or services to begin with another provider. There is no long-term commitment. We will also provide a discharge summary and collaboration with the new company.
